Your tasks
- Engaged in providing proper & timely clearance and delivery of ocean import shipments.
- Maintain productivity and profitability of the department.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of sea freight department
- Maintain customer service, productivity and profitability standards set for department
- Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow
- Actively participate in sales process to achieve growth expectations
- Actively manage service, development, and retention program for customers
- Assure accurate and timely billings and resolve accounting issues
- Monitor EXCEL stats, relay information and improvement plans to staff
- Interview, assist in hiring; planning, assigning and directing work
- Other duties and responsibilities as necessary or as assigned by management
Your qualifications
- Minimum 5 years related experience in sea freight import or export
- Familiarity with terminology commonly used in freight forwarding, specifically ocean import.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Office Products, Windows, Email and various PC-based software programs
- Team player
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good commination skills to ensure the department runs smooth
- Require references from previous employers
