Your tasks

  • Ensure staff Provide a safe environment, adhering to health and safety rules.
  • Ensure staff Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the receipts, storage, and dispatch of goods.
  • Ensure orders are processed efficiently by Supervisors and admin staff.
  • Supervise and control order picking, goods in ,goods out of operation to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage.
  • Ensure staff Organise, facilitate and manage stock and cycle counts.
  • Ensure that all relevant procedures and processes are followed and adhered to in line with the company requirements.
  • Ensure Supervisors is Responsible for driving work standard
  • Ensure that internal delivery process are adhered to, to ensure support to dispatch.
  • Lead follow up and resolve customer concerns and advise corrective action to Warehouse team.
  • Identify errors and eliminate root course by implementing work procedures.
  • Sustain corrective action in reporting issues by Supervisors.
  • Implement warehouse and management process that work for the operation.
  • Check of fork lift management to ensure full operational capacity and achieve daily targets as well as daily check sheet on forklifts.
  • Ensure that Supervisors Oversee MHE on a daily basis.
  • Manage that Supervisors and staff ensure 5S housekeeping at all times.
  • Monitor stock accuracy.
  • Check and Ensure timekeeping is correct.
  • Ensure that Supervisor handle Full function of Health and Safety audits, meetings and Security of all employees.
  • Ensure that Supervisors Monitor rubbish bins in the yard area and ensure they empty it regularly.
  • Check and ensure All forklift training need to be scheduled in time to ensure licences do not expire.
  • Check that all operational charges get Invoiced out to customers.
  • Drive cost to the minimum (Forklift cost , diesel , Shrink wrap ect.)
  • Ensure the Warehouse division is running at a low cost.
  • Keep overtime to the minimum cost .
  • Improve Monthly Income on a monthly basis.
  • Sign on new customers for the Warehouse division if and when required.
  • Have Management meeting with New customers as well as present customers.
  • Implement new and updated SOP and SLA for the warehouse.
  • Assist sales and other divisions with quotes and information required.
  • Ensure Supervisors report back on a daily basis on the departments.
  • Ensure warehouse team meetings on a Monthly basis.
  • Cold calling on new customers and set up appointments for new business.
  • Have meetings with suppliers on a Monthly basis.
  • Ensure Customer satisfaction at all times.
  • Ensure loss space in warehouse is checked and corrected.
  • Ensure that Monthly Management meetings is attended with correct information
  • Ensure all stock received and despatch into warehouse is scanned in and out no manual receiving or despatch.
  • Action all short received stock at the warehouse.
  • Action cycle counts by Supervisors and reports
  • Ensure stock takes is done and correct on a quarterly interval.
  • Ensure that Supervisors supervise Inward and Outward on the WMS system within 24 hours.
  • Ensure that supervisors Ensure and maintain accurate capturing and control on the system.
  • Check that supervisors check incoming goods to documentation.
  • Check that supervisors Ensure correct processing orders on WMS.
  • Daily recon on Inward and Outward orders.
  • Check that supervisors Ensure correct product information is loaded into WMS.
  • Manage supervisors to Organise, unpack, pack and queue containers in a timely manner.
  • Check supervisors ensure that container numbers / seals is correct and photos taken of seals and container on offloading.
  • Check safe loading and off-loading of containers.
  • Assist staff with stuffing containers for exports.
  • Action any damages within the office.
  • Action daily / weekly stock report is send to customers.
  • Control emails and respond back to customers in good time.

Your qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years experience in warehouse management
  • Must have in depth knowledge of Freight forwarding
  • Logistics Chain management NQF 6 or 7 required
  • Develop a good relationship with internal and external customers.
  • Answer any questions in a friendly and obliging manner.
  • Answer all phones and emails in a promptly manner.
  • Develop open honest and respectful working relationship with all team members.
  • Represent team activities to Management.
  • Manage and lead the team in a positive attitude.
